Exploring Movement with Assisted Stretching

Want to be stretched? 

If you have specific goals of improving your flexibility, posture, joint mobility or if you feel like you can never quite stretch deeply enough, we can incorporate additional passive movement and assisted/facilitated stretching into your session. This will be an exploratory session inspired by Thai massage, Shiatsu, Watsu® and Yin Yoga and is very much tailored to each client. You’ll be gently lengthened and opened after warming up your tissue, to encourage your fascia to elongate and your mind to let go. Often integrated with table massage. If session is in Shelburne Falls office, we can do some of the session on a cushioned floor mat. I can also offer some yoga poses for you to practice.

Wear stretchy or loose clothing.

Nice option for clients who prefer massage with clothes.

You’ll likely leave feeling taller and hopefully inspired to do simple stretches, such as twists, hip and chest openers, at home.
