My massage practice is integrative-blending elements of myofascial release, shiatsu, Thai, assisted stretching, and trigger point work when appropriate. Clients book for stress reduction, increasing mobility, pain management, injury/surgery recovery (including scar tissue work), and as part of an overall healthcare and self-care maintenance routine. Carpal tunnel syndrome, plantar fasciitis, neck pain, and sciatic and hip issues are some areas I have addressed with clients. If you just want an hour foot and hand massage we can do that, too. Some choose to have their sessions emphasize stretching – working through sticky areas to gain mobility. We can also include floor stretches and yoga poses to experiment with at home.
If you’re looking for a prenatal massage, please let me know during booking. I would be delighted to work with you, after 12 weeks. You’ll lie on your side bolstered with pillows.
Massage can be extremely helpful to reduce physical and emotional stress during pregnancy. I have worked with clients be it their first massage ever or right up until their due date. If you’re experiencing swelling, insomnia, sciatic/low back pain, massage can work wonders to help alleviate joint pain, improve circulation, and help get into a deep state of rest.
Bodywork after pregnancy can help you realign and feel more at home in your body. For postpartum clients, we can address areas resulting from childbirth and parenting, including low back and hips, C-section recovery, and neck/shoulder tension from nursing and carrying.
Cranial Sacral therapy is an additional option to help nurture yourself back into balance after pregnancy or any event that brought additional stress into the body.
I believe in touch, now more than ever, as a way of reentering and grounding into our skin and being. After a massage, whether it be restorative or invigorating, my goal is for you to leave feeling rejuvenated, with reduced pain, and more at home in your body.
